Dr. Altalibi received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the prestigious McGill University, graduating as the valedictorian of his class.
He received numerous honours and awards including the American Association of Orthodontists Award.
Dr. Altalibi dedicated the next year to working with disadvantaged and disabled kids at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. His growing interest in orthodontics then led him to the University of Alberta. There, he completed a master’s degree and developed tools to help physicians and orthodontists treat obstructive sleep apnea in children.
Dr. Altalibi is currently involved in exciting work at the Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania, researching the means to boost his patient’s self-esteem throughout orthodontic treatment. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Alberta Undergraduate Dental Clinic. He has published many research articles in respected peer-reviewed journals on cleft lip and palate, surgical procedures, obstructive sleep apnea, and the new cone beam tomography technology. Dr. Altalibi is also a fellow of the Royal College of Canada.
Outside of orthodontic work, research, and teaching, Dr. Altalibi enjoys healthy living, with an active lifestyle full of traveling, camping, hiking, CrossFit, and yoga.Book a Free Consultation
